Southeast WI Woodland Conference. The 2011 Southeast Wisconsin Woodland Conference will be at the Country Springs Hotel & Conference Center on Saturday January 29, 2011. It's a week earlier than last year. More details to follow as the agenda is developed by the planning committee and speakers are confirmed.

Wisconsin Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year in 2010
About Dayton Ridge Tree Farm
Situated on 300 acres in Richland County, over 40,000 trees have been
planted over the past 39 years. Species include red and white pine,
red and white oak, maple, shagbark hickory, black cherry, yellow
birch, butternut, chestnut and black walnut. The Tree Farm also
provided the Madison Children’s Museum with ATFS certified hardwood
for floors, trim and cabinets.
Events at the Field Day include:
Bird tour (optional, 7 AM)
Timber stand improvement woodlot management
Forest health, including Thousand Canker Disease of Black Walnut
Estimating defect and log grading
Soils, site selection and selecting the right species
Tree growth, biodiversity and the effects of whitetail deer
Forestry activities for girl scouts and cub scouts
Additional (optional) walking tours, covering invasive
species, bluebird houses, mushroom growing and farm
ponds, will be available
These are walking tours. Please indicate on the
registration form if assistance is needed.

Cancellation Policy
Refunds will be provided on cancelled convention registrations received in the national office on or before July 15, 2011. A $20 processing fee will be applied to each cancelled registration.
