A Tree Farm Inspector training class will be held on August 14, 2019 in Wausau, Wisconsin. It will be held at the Rib Mountain Municipal Center, 3700 North Mountain Road, Wausau, Wisconsin. The Municipal Center is located approximately one mile west of Interstate 51/39, Exit 190, (NN Exist). Registration will begin at 9:00 AM, class beginning at 9:30, with break for lunch at 12:00 PM, resume class at 12:30 PM and conclude by 2:30 PM. Lunch will be provided. There is no cost for this training.
New inspectors must meet one of the following requirements:
- A graduate with a B.S. or higher forestry degree from a four-year program accredited by the Society of American Foresters.
- A graduate from a two-year forest technology program recognized by the Society of American Foresters.
- A practicing forester meeting the minimum educational requirements set by the ATFS.
If you have already taken the certifier training course and would like to refresh your training, you are welcome to join us. There is also an online refresher training at the ATFS website if you have had the certifier training course.
