About the event
Join us for a tour of the Searfoss Tree Farm, hosted by Geary and Kay Searfoss, Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year - 2022.
Tours of the Searfoss Tree Farm will be by walking on moderately uneven ground from station to station through the property. Featuring but not limited to: northern hardwood management and vernal ponds, cold water streams, cultivating mushrooms, and geology of the property.
Other subjects will be storm damage, off grid living, wildlife benefits of vernal ponds, invasive plant management and the potential future impacts of emerald ash borer and spongy moth.
Registration required. Tickets $20 per person or $35 per couple. Children 14 and under get in free. Ticket includes morning refreshments, catered lunch, and tour booklet.
Pre-registration DUE BY August 11th. Walk-ins accepted. Please pay at the door.
