Protect oak trees by waiting to prune after July

Spring and summer are beautiful times to get back out to the woods clearing trails, pruning limbs, and planning food plots.   But when is the right time to prune your oak trees to keep the trees healthy and prevent oak wilt and other diseases?   Waiting until after July is the best bet to protect your trees from various diseases.
